The construction documentation sets are created to communicate the design intent and specifications to contractors, design professionals, engineers, manufacturers and suppliers. These sets include detailed working drawings which the contractors, builders and suppliers use to determine the actual project cost for execution of the design and construction.

Bim Substantial Design
We can define BIM as a process that incorporates consistent information or data about an assignment or project. It defines the various stages from drawing blueprints and devising structures to the final operations.
BIM covers a wide area from spatial equations and geographic data to the measure and extent of building components utilized. It is used primarily to exhibit the entire building lifecycle.
Substantial design may be referring to reliable, efficient and good designs for building projects. Building design is perhaps, one of the biggest advantages of BIM. A substantial building design can be derived by gaining insight into a building’s performance through design analysis and optimization.
Advantages:
- Much of the statistics needed to maintain performance analysis, when using BIM, is captured as the designing proceeds.
- BIM can give designers a fair idea about how the building structure may look, even in the primary phases of designing. Equipped with this information, they can assess better and more feasible design options.
- By integrating design and analysis, BIM helps in the estimates needed to optimize building performance.
- BIM also helps make drawings and details directly from a model.

Bim Services
A building information model is a digital representation of the building process that facilitates exchange of information in digital format. BIM is more than just a shift from paper-based design to electronic design. Its parametric information makes possible accurate cost estimates, simulations, scheduling, and energy analysis. Furthermore, BIM facilitates coordination with engineering, fabricating and construction partners.
AutoCAD Architectural provides target-intensive BIM outsourcing services. This helps to communicate, collaborate and design information-related models to all involved in the process of design and execution.
AutoCAD Architectural helps greatly improve productivity by creating an avenue for the creation, storage, distribution and communication of design sensitive information through an intelligent 3D model. This model helps in streamlining and identifying information from all levels of inputs like architects, engineers, suppliers, contractors, distributors, owners and manufacturers.
These are some of the advantages this approach offers:
- Using cost attributing features of the model to assess alternative design and construction.
- Virtually co-ordinate contract documents and shop drawings to identify and resolve geometric conflicts in advance of construction.
- Creating a 4D schedule to optimize sequence of construction, manage project logistics and communicate the project plan to subcontractors in coordination meetings and proactively make adjustments based on their feedback.
AutoCADArchitectural Broadband Required
The term broadband refers to a reasonably high level of Internet access. Different observers have different definitions for “reasonably high level”, so we generally go by the definitions provided by the experts. The CCITT standards group defined “broadband” as bit rates greater than 1.5 mbps. In the US National Broadband Plan of 2009, broadband was simply described as “Internet access that is always on and faster than the traditional dial-up access”. Service providers such as O2 have defined their “basic broadband” as a 20 mbps connection with a download limit of 20 GB per month, while their “mobile broadband” is a 3.6 mbps connection with a download limit of 1 GB per month. The monthly cost of such connections is relatively low – less than the cost of a meal at most restaurants. Any small business should be able to afford a broadband connection.
At AutoCAD Architectural, we generally work with customers who have a broadband connection that enables the fast transmission of large graphic files, some of which can be a few dozen megabytes in size, so a standard 20 mbps connection should be sufficient. You can use a slower Internet connection, but you may find it frustrating to wait for your files to download. Also, the longer you wait, the higher the chances of disconnection due to random events, such as power fluctuations or machine error. If you don’t have access to a broadband connection, it might be better to copy your file on a CD and courier it to us.
Architectural Walkthroughs
Architectural Walkthrough is typically a short animated movie created on a computer. This may include a computer-generated structure like a house or a building, created with landscaping and sometimes moving people and vehicles for a more realistic visualization.
In contrast with an architectural rendering which is a still image of a single aspect of a structure, Architectural Walkthrough is composed of hundreds, even thousands of such still images, woven together to create a movie. The result is similar to the images that can be seen via a movie camera, except that the images are artificially generated.
Many architectural firms and real estate developers have now embraced the use of Architectural Walkthroughs. These walkthroughs act as an interactive tool that helps investors and property buyers to visualize the attributes of a proposed architectural project even before actual construction has begun.
The benefits to real estate marketing have been tremendous, which is why Architectural Walkthrough is gaining much popularity as a marketing tool. It takes customers by the hand and walks them through the architect’s vision of the project.
